Good planning and successful strategy was a vital part of the growth of the Company. KZN Security was supported by major Government and Private Sectors and was able to progress through its high quality services.
This led to expansion of its services throughout Durban and beyond. Mr. Dladla established IEPS Protection Services and Mr. Lawrence Mazibuko in order to separate guarding with highly specialized services such as cash-in-transit, executive protection and high tech security.
In 2003, KZN Security, in joint venture with ZONKIZIZWE SECURITY SERVICES, was awarded a lucrative contract with South African Airways and a joint venture Company was established, called RESHEBILE AVIATION AND PROTECTION SERVICES. This Company is currently providing aviation security and advice on aviation matters to all major South African Airports.
In 2004 IEPS PROTECTION was merged into KZN SECURITY and subsequently ITHALA INVESTMENT acquired 27 % in order to facilitate the expansion of the business throughout the Province of Kwa Zulu-Natal and beyond.

Shadrack Dladla, Executive Chairman of Balengwe Investment, started his career in the South African Police in 1987. Four years later, he left Government Employment for a post as a Trainee Manager with one of the largest Security Companies and that was the beginning of his career in the Security Sector. A promotion in 1994 brought Shadrack to the position of Human Resources Manager and the following year – General Manager. In 1996 he resigned and formed KWA-ZULU NATAL SECURITY SERVICES cc., one of the leading Security Companies n Kwa-Zulu Natal led by Black Empowerment Group. |
MR. LAWRENCE MAZIBUKO

Lawrence background lies essentially in the Service Industry. He also has an established history in the Security Industry. He has been involved in the SAPS and was appointed to work full time in the V.I.P. Protection Unit where he worked in the Presidential Protection Division. His dedication and commitment to his Country was recognized when he was appointed as head and personal Bodyguard to the President and Deputy President of South Africa serving under the Presidential Unit of the South African Police Services until 2000. |
